As the National Youth Spokesperson for the Allergy and Asthma Network - Mother's of Asthmatics, and the Atlantic Coast Ambassador for The American Lung Association, Miss Teen Maryland International is becoming the voice for asthmatics nationwide.
Speaking to Congress she encouraged the representatives from the states of Connecticut, Vermont, and South Dakota, to pass the Breathe: It's The Law bill in to law in their states. This bill, which has been signed into law in all but these three states, allows students to keep their asthma medicine with them so they have immediate access to these lifesaving medications at all times.
Angela is currently working alongside medical professionals on an educational program that will be launched
by a national pharmaceutical company. She wants to raise awareness of this chronic condition and speak to community groups about the basics of asthma both in the US and abroad. She wants to empower patients, parents, and the general public with the information, knowledge, and resources they need to improve life on breath at a time.
