Alexandra, Miss Teen Ohio is all smiles because she just returned from a trip to the Bahamas where she spent quality time with the children and staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital. After speaking with her they have asked to be put in contact with Josh Cares and RMH. One of the nurses has offered to host Allie in her home next summer so she could intern in the hospital and Alexandra plans to take her up on it.
She met with the Minister of Tourism, The Honorable Minister McCartney and shared her platform message, Josh Cares and Ronald McDonald House. Minister McCarney personally invited and will make the proper arrangements for her to return to the Bahamas in December for the Junkanoo Fesitval, which is the most famous expression of Bahamian culture.
Miss Teen Ohio was given a personal tour of their educational museum by owner Nettie, at her one of a kind hands on museum, depicting life of Bahamians from centuries ago.
In Feburary, Miss Teen Ohio will perform at the Pro Bowl on the big island of Hawaii, where she will again visit a children's hopspital. Allie and her mother, Diana also plan a trip to Italy in June to continue spreading her message of providing care for children who are alone during their greatest time of need.
