Megan Herickhoff is Miss Teen Minnesota 2008
Currently there are 250,000 Americans with narcolepsy. However; only an appalling 50,000 narcoleptics have been diagnosed. Now, with the help of her crown, life experiences, commitment, passion, and knowledge, Megan feels it is her job to discover those who need to be diagnosed and improve their safety and their quality of life . Using her platform: "The Life and Times of a Real Sleeping Beauty", she believes she will make a difference in the world of Narcoleptics and those who love them.
Megan is honored to have been crowned Miss Teen Minnesota International 2008. The entire pageant experience has made her appreciate her amazing title and the power it brings to help others. Through this pageant, she has come to understand and value the true meaning of hard work, perseverance, and determination.
She is using her crown as a key to help raise awareness about narcolepsy. Along with speaking at numerous places about her platform, she is helping inspire others to never give up. She strives to be the kind of girl that little girls look at and say, “ I want to be just like that someday.” Megan is a positive and devoted role model for girls to look up to as well as a helping hand for everyone to depend on.
With the help of her wonderful family, friends, and the Lord, she looks forward to representing Minnesota and the International pageant system with pride, grace, integrity, gratitude, and humility. She extends her thanks to all who have supported her and greatly appreciates their encouragement.
