1. What kind of BARBIE do you think you’d be?
When I was 6 years old, I went to New York and saw my first Broadway production of Annie. I fell in love with the theatre at that moment! For the rest of the trip, I sang every word of every Annie song whenever the urge hit me. I still smile today when I think of singing everywhere on the streets of NYC. I mean after all, “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”!
2. What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?
I would love to own a Chanel, tweed jacket! I love France and want to travel there “in person” to purchase this item. Additionally, I could try out my love of the French language when shopping for my favorite shade of pink tweed in Paris. I will be visiting France next Spring with my English class, so my dream may come true. Je suis fou de joie!
3. What cartoon character do you relate to the most and why?
I love summer! I love the lake and boating with my friends and family. I also like hanging out by the pool with a good book, working on my tan and catching up with friends. While I do enjoy winter sports, snow skiing and racing my brother down black diamond mountains in Colorado, I prefer beach vacations with my camera and capturing perfect sunsets after a wonderful day with my toes in the sand.
4. Would you time travel to the past or future?
Legally Blonde. I adore this movie and identify with it in many ways. Elle Woods is smart and loves all things pretty and pink! She excels as a law student despite other’s stereotypes and failed attempts to label and place her into boxes that define her. I have faced many of the same challenges in my life yet continue to pierce these ceilings while competing and excelling in arenas once dominated by my male peers.
5. How would your parents describe your personality?
“Bubbly” by Colbie Caillat. It is not so much about the actual lyrics of this song but rather that this song reminds me of how my best friend describes my personality, and I tend to agree with her. My peers also describe me as someone who brings light to them and lifts their spirits. Additionally, I listened to “Bubbly” on repeat for an entire summer, which brings back fantastic summertime memories!
