1. What kind of BARBIE do you think you’d be?
The funniest thing I remember as a child is my dad's jokes. Now that I know that it is a common Japanese joke that everyone knows, but I remember it being really funny at the time and making me laugh out loud. My dad makes a lot of jokes. They are still really funny and make me laugh out loud even now.
2. What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?
I wish I owned the suit that I designed. I have loved men’s suits ever since I was little, and I would often wear my father's suits or look at them at the store. I'm not a man, but I would like to be able to wear a three-piece suit nicely someday. And I'm even happier if the suit is the one that is designed by myself.
3. What cartoon character do you relate to the most and why?
My favorite season is autumn. It is because the heat will be eased and the climate will become more comfortable, and Japan will get more delicious foods such as meat and vegetables in autumn. Also, it is good to see the autumn leaves and feel nostalgic. Another thing is Halloween, which is a really fun time to dress up and walk around the neighborhood with my friends.
4. Would you time travel to the past or future?
My favorite movie is Crazy Rich Asians. This movie had a big impact on my life. It is a Hollywood movie, and the main cast are all Asian. I have been working as an actress since I was three years old. I have been dreaming about being in a Hollywood movie since I was a little girl. This movie gave me a lot of courage and hope for the future.
5. How would your parents describe your personality?
I asked my friends about this question, and we all agreed on “Confident” by Demi Lovato. The lyrics of this song, ‘What’s wrong with being confident’ has a really strong message. I always trust myself and keep challenging myself no matter what other people think. I can understand why my friends chose this song and I totally agree with it.
