1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
If I ruled the world, I would make a law that would enforce radical honesty. My mom always says that the truth always finds a way to come out, but I’m talking about a type of honesty that extends beyond just telling the truth. Imagine a world without filters or masks – just truth in all forms. Social media posts would, no doubt, look a lot different and mental health issues would subside.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
As my superpower, I’d choose Time Control—because who hasn’t wanted to fast-forward through algebra or a three-hour car ride? I’d pause the best moments and rewind to relive them. I’d slow time down in order to save a life or enjoy time with my favorite dog for just a little bit longer.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I don’t really know when one becomes an adult, I’m certainly not there yet! I do think though, that you become an adult when you can stand on your own, emotionally, mentally, financially, and fearlessly. In my family, growing up doesn’t mean growing away. No matter how old we get, we’re still our parents’ babies, just with bigger dreams and longer legs, and more opinions of our own.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Learning to be empathetic continues to help me time and time again - thinking before I speak, seeing things from other’s perspectives and walking in their shoes. It’s helped me dodge drama, build bridges, and turn awkward moments into understanding ones. Empathy promotes emotional intelligence which is linked to better mental health and stronger connections.
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
I truly believe the hardest job in the world is one of a parent. There is no ‘step by step’ guide on how to raise a child. You’re not just managing your own feelings but helping your child to navigate theirs. Teenage years are challenging. Kids make mistakes. I watch my parents struggle when they can’t fix every challenge. Letting go while still being supportive would be hard.
