1. What kind of BARBIE do you think you’d be?
1. I have a very close family, and we are all very involved in each other’s lives. One special person that completes my family is my three year old brother, Braxton. Watching him grow and being able to teach him new things about life is an unmeasurable blessing. Even though we are very distant in age, we always seem to meet in the middle and share a very unique relationship.
2. What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?
2. I recently wrote and delivered a thesis to my peers that required a minimum amount of two thousand and five hundred words with a ten minute speech. I prepared this paper my entire junior year, and it was solely based on The Motivation to Volunteer. Through this paper I was able to share and defend my belief that all volunteering stems from the heart.
3. What cartoon character do you relate to the most and why?
3. Something a lot of people do not know about me is that I play softball for six years. This not only taught me how to lead others, but it also taught me how to encourage others. My “love for the game” is what connects me to my platform, The Miracle League Program.
4. Would you time travel to the past or future?
4. I have been actively working with The Miracle League Program for over two years, and through these experiences each child with special needs that I have encountered have each taught me valuable life lessons. Their patience and positivity is contagious, and no matter what obstacle they face giving up is never an option.
5. How would your parents describe your personality?
5. I have always been the type of person that is constantly creating a better version of myself, while also seeking out different ways to impact others. Through reading Sarah Dessen books, I have been able to relate to different scenarios that characters in her books overcome and learn the powerful meaning of always staying true to myself.
