1. What kind of BARBIE do you think you’d be?
Encender is my favorite word it means “to light” in Spanish, similar to ignite. I believe we all are given a chance to make a difference in the world or at least in someone’s world, but is our choice to ignite this flame in ourselves to make the difference.
2. What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?
My favorite beauty secret is Vaseline! It’s a great lip moisturizer and is very versatile. You can use it to soften your cuticles, elbows, heels, and knees. It can also be used as make-up remover, a moisture barrier, and hair shine.
3. What cartoon character do you relate to the most and why?
I take most pride in having the opportunity to share my experience struggling with an eating disorder. Being able to connect and help others join me in recovery has made me able to make a painful experience into a chance to show others hope.
4. Would you time travel to the past or future?
My favorite day of the week is Thursday because the weekend is in sight, and I have my favorite teachers that day, my hilarious Spanish teacher, my math teacher who is an excellent mentor for me, and then my AP language teacher, who awes me with his intelligent wit.
5. How would your parents describe your personality?
My good luck charm is a penny! I found it the day that I became Miss Teen Colorado, and ever since then, when it’s with me it’s brought good fortune free CD’s, A’s on tests, and beautiful sunny days!
