People's Choice Award

1. What kind of BARBIE do you think you’d be?
I have been volunteering with the National Organization for Women’s Safety Awareness, Inc. since I was 9 years old and I am currently the Teen Ambassador for this special charity. I have had the opportunity to attended board meetings, fundraisers, and personal safety seminars and I am very proud to have assisted this organization with the development and implementation of several personal safety initiatives.

2. What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?
Last year, I created and launched a website, UWillBOK.com, which is dedicated to raising awareness about Teen Sadness & Depression. It is a place where I can share information about this serious and often overlooked topic. I want anyone who visits the site to know they are not alone and that with proper guidance, they will be ok.

3. What cartoon character do you relate to the most and why?
The sports I enjoy most are somewhat unique. I love archery (it’s really fun putting a quarter on the target and trying to hit it with my arrow), quad riding (I experience such a sense of freedom when I ride and I’m always with my family which makes it even more special) and boxing (I get a terrific work out while I am learning self-protection).

4. Would you time travel to the past or future?
I never worry about “imperfections” on any digital photographs because I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop when I was 8 years old. My dream is to one day incorporate graphic design, drawing and video/photo editing into my career.

5. How would your parents describe your personality?
Two of my best friends are my cuddly sugar gliders, Lucy and Belle. They are small, playful, and entertaining marsupials that are very social. Their enclosure has always been in my bedroom because if they do not receive constant love and affection, they can develop symptoms of depression.
